COMMUNITY CODE OF CONDUCT

IT’S SIMPLE. RESPECT EACH OTHER.

CVMA Maryland Chapter 40-3 Forum participants -- including paid staff, volunteers, speakers, and guests -- pledge to always act in a respectful manner.

CVMA Maryland Chapter 40-3 welcomes a diversity of perspectives about any topic/mission. Participants pledge to display common courtesy and sensitivity towards anyone who comes to CVMA Maryland Chapter 40-3 Forum.

CVMA Maryland Chapter 40-3 is committed to active nonviolence in speech and action. Participants pledge to resolve any disputes or disagreements respectfully and peacefully.

LEAVE YOUR INTOLERANCE AT THE DOOR

Participants pledge to refrain from all forms of harassment. Harassment includes offensive verbal comments related to gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, religion and spiritual belief systems, political views, sexual images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention.

Participants asked to stop any harassing or violent behavior are expected to comply immediately.

Participants violating these rules may be asked to temporarily leave CVMA Maryland Chapter 40-3 Forum with the consensus of the CVMA Maryland

Chapter 40-3 CEB. If any participant or CVMA Maryland Chapter 40-3 Forum group member believe that more serious measures are required, the CVMA Maryland Chapter 40-3 Chapter Executive Board (CEB) will meet to reach consensus on a course of action.

All such actions will be documented and publicly reported by the CVMA Maryland Chapter 40-3 CEB. Such reports may omit identifying information provided an explanation for this choice is provided.

CVMA Maryland Chapter 40-3 pledge to support victims and seek justice in all cases of violation of this code.

We depend on you, the community, to report problems when they arise. Please email cvmamd40.3@gmail.com with a link to any post you feel violates the rules. Violations will be edited or removed and violators may have action taken against their account.

We strive to be a respectful, lively community where opinions can be expressed and members can learn and grow. It’s up to all of us to make the CVMA Maryland Chapter 40-3 Forum a place where like-minded individuals can thrive.
